Price adjustments allow you to discount or markup the total price of a quote by a set amount. Quotes can be adjusted by a fixed dollar value, or as a percentage of the total quote.
Enabling Price Adjustments
Enable and Set Price Adjustments
- Go to Configuration > Account Settings > Page Settings
- At the bottom of the page, click Edit in the box labeled Price Adjustments.
- Select who should be able to include price adjustments on a quote.
- No one - Price adjustments are disabled.
- Admins only - Only Admin users will be able to apply price adjustments to a quote.
- All Users - Any user can add price adjustments.
- Set the maximum value of your discount as both a dollar value and a percentage - discounts will only be allowed if they are smaller than both maximums.
Using Price Adjustments in a Quote
Add a Price Adjustment to a Quote
- Open any project and open a report for editing.
- Navigate to the Quote Details page.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page click on Include Markup or Discount.
- Select either a Discount or Markup, and then click Save.
- Enter the name of your discount and your desired price adjustment as a percentage or dollar value.
- This discount or markup will only be available on that tab of the quote. Select a different tab to add a price adjustment to it.
Show or Hide Price Adjustments
To show or hide a price adjustment, use the toggle switch on the right side of the adjustment. Markups are hidden by default.
A hidden price adjustment is still applied to the quote total, but your customer will not see it when they review and sign their quote.
